FrenchRev is introducing an important new playlist in the catalogue of our YouTube videos. We call this playlist “HISTOIRES LOUFOQUES,” which kind of translates as Farfetched Stories. These stories were created by our students in our intermediate class (for more info, go to https://frenchrev.org/spring-french-experience/), and from that rigorous production process, we have chosen our favorite stories and will be bringing them to life through this FrenchRevTV channel.
Our first video, Le Concours de Pâtisserie, plays on the trope of those Reality TV types of baking contests for which many among us have so much affection. But this one is no ordinary contest, as the amateur bakers include a teenager, a language teacher, a crazy guy, and a belly dancer. And there is a certifiably great list of celebrities (including the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau) that serves as the four judges. Also, just to pique your curiosity, have you ever heard of a baking contest where the grand prize is a group of four hedgehogs?
